Born in 2020. Flourishing in Kent.
In the quiet spring of 2020, while the world hit 'pause,' our kitchen in Kent began to bubble with a new kind of life. Like so many others, we turned to the ancient art of sourdough to find a bit of rhythm in the uncertainty.
What started as a lockdown hobby became a family legacy.
While most starters from that era have long since faded, ours which we fondly call Angus, has been fed, nurtured, and baked with every single week for over six years. It has captured the wild yeasts of the Garden of England and matured into a culture with a deep, complex tang that you simply can't find in a shop bought loaf.
At Kent Sourdough Company, we don't believe in "instant." We believe in the "slow." We’ve spent years perfecting the science of dehydrating our heritage culture so we can share a piece of our 2020 history with your kitchen, without the mess, the stress, or the shipping jars.
We aren't just selling you flour and water. We’re giving you the heartbeat of a better loaf of bread.
